There is a list over to the right of all my free paper toys you can download and have for your very own. I'll post a new free Paper Toy of the Month every month. I'll also be posting a stray paper toy here and there as well as my paper toy commissions and collaborations.

Doodles!

Lots of folks ask me where I get the ideas for my characters and paper toys and I usually tell them from doodles. I always keep an old piece of paper from the recycle bin under my key board at work and every once in a while a little doodle spills out. I've been uploading them on my flickr. Also I am working on a new free toy I hope to have up by the end of this month. It's been to long!

Been feeling a bit burned out the last few days so I took the day off today to do a custom Munny for the Kid Robot Munny contest, to get the old creative juices flowing again. Made of plastic, paper, chipboard, Sculpty, Munny and a zipper.

There's a great blog post on toysrevil.net with help from Marshall Alexander, about the current Paper Cut Expo that is part of the Graphic Design Festival in Berda. Check it out! I'm really excited to have some work featured in this awesome expo!
I've been meaning to post about this event sooner but the exhibit will be up until June 20 so if your in the Netherlands be sure to stop in.

Here is my 30"x30" panel "Scratchy 78" for the Hustle 2 show tomorrrow night here in KC. Made of chipboard, paper, spray paint and foamcore.

Vernon hybrid toy

Here is my vinyl toy/papertoy mash-up Vernon. He's my first ever custom of an 8" Dunny. The head and hands are dunny+sculpy and the body , arms and feet are chipboard, paper and spray paint.It was a fun challenge to get everything working together, I'll definitely be revisiting this idea soon. Rodrigo Del Paper custom now available

Happy to announce that after a successful exhibition in Paris my custom of Tougui's Rodrigo Del Paper papertoy is now up for download from Tougui's site, click here to download mine as well as many other super cool customs of Rodrigo . First Fridays Kansas City April and May

A quick post about some upcoming shows in Kansas City.
This Friday April 2 my Art Table for Grinders West (see post below) will be debuting with the new round of tables for this year.
And I'm super excited to announce I'll be one of the guest artist at The Hustle 2 show on May 7!

Grinders art table

Here is a 30" by 30" "art table" I made for Grinder's West in KC featuring Comic Monkey. It will be covered in glass and used as a table and then auctioned off after a year. It's only 2.5" deep. Made with colored paper, chipboard and spray paint. It'll depute in Grinders the first Friday of April. A real challenge keeping it only 2.5" high but it was a lot of fun. More pics on my flickr.

I was invited to be a part of an amazing screenprint group show this Feb. at Vahalla Studios called Show the Love. 18 amazing artist created 8x8 3 color prints based on the theme of love.
Artists included are Kate Bingaman, Will Bryant, Tad Carpenter, Frank Chimero, Maura Cluthe, Jennifer Daniel, Chris Eliopolos, Hydro 74, David Huyck, Blake E. Marquis, Andy Miller, Dan Padavic, Richard Perez, Mark Todd, Nate Williams and John Vogl.

Rivet Exclusive Ukuleliens papertoy.

Here is a little double sided papertoy I put together to promote the Rock Paper Scissors: Paper Art Toy Exhibit at Rivet Gallery this January. I'll be there opening night Jan 2.
