Mechanical Man and CPT Shop coming soon!

Introducing Mechanical Man. It's a limited edition 2 color letterpress print on silver metallic paper. I'm doing a limited edition of 30 that will be signed, numbered, hand cut and assembled by me. The first few will be going out to the Kismet Gallery's Plush, Vinyl , Clay show. Flat prints of Mechanical Man will be available as well. I'm working on getting a Custom Paper Toy shop up and will launch it this weekend just in time for all you Holiday Shoppers.(more on that soon) Here are a couple of sweet pics of the Letterpress in action printing Mechanical Man.

Mechanical Man was printed by the fine folks at Skylab Letterpress here in Kansas City. They did an awesome job. These are really cool prints.
Don't worry I will still be posting free paper toys once a month. This whole limited edition shop project is so I can take my paper toys to the next level with paper types and printing processes that can't be done digitally . My work is so "digital" It's nice to actually hold something real and tactile in my hands. The shop will also feature hand drawn one of a kind paper toys as well as limited edition hand assembled paper toys. Buttons? T-shirts? Who knows what else. What would you like to see in the shop?
I was going to wait to post this stuff until the online shop was up, but I got to excited to share this project with you all!
Thanks for your support as I take the next big leap!
The Custom Paper Toys Shop opening soon!!!

Love your blog and I think the limited edition paper toy store would be a great idea. I recently taught a paper toy lesson to a group of 6th graders in Pawtucket, RI and they loved making them. You can find there designs at this website: risd.digication.com/curvinmccabe6
