Spy Vs. Spy Tribute

A little bit of "fan art" Nothing official just for fun. A little tribute to Antonio Prohias. I spent many hours as a kid reading and rereading my Spy Vs. Spy paperbacks, good stuff.

Papercraft Illustration

Papercraft elements interact with real shoes for fun photo illustrations. These were mock-ups for a pitch we gave a while back. It was really fun doing building these and composing them in camera, I'd love to do some more projects like this.

He Sings, He Dances

Here is a little preview of my Mickey piece "He Sings, He Dances" for the WonderGround Gallery that opened it's doors this weekend in the Downtown Disney® District. More info on the show, the gallery and events here. I love the old musical Mickey Mouse cartoons so that was my inspiration for this piece.
Below is my marker sketch for the piece.

WonderGround Gallery Grand Opening

I'm excited to be participating in the debut show at the new WonderGround Gallery in Downtown Disney® District. The first show is approximately 25 artists focusing on Pixar films and the one and only Mickey Mouse, I did a piece based on my favorite Pixar movie Up. "Going Up" is a paper sculpture in a 2 foot tall shadow box. I also did another piece that will be revealed June 9, I know you’ll instantly recognize this ‘character.’ If your out that way be sure to check it out this weekend, wish I could. Below are a few in progress shots and my original marker sketch. More info on the WonderGround Gallery and events here.

Free Papertoy for June: Pinhole Camera

Now for something completely different for this months free download. This last month I collaborated with Paul Andrews to create a paper pinhole camera for his photography students. Below are some pics they took with their 100% paper cameras. Pretty cool huh?  If you have the means to develop photo paper you can download your own pinhole camera template and instructions here. Print the 11 x 17 template out and transfer it to some black cardstock and assemble. If you do take some pics with this camera let me know I'd love to see them.
